New Delhi, July 2025 – The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched its third housing scheme of the year, Apna Ghar Awaas Yojana 2025, offering a significant push toward affordable homeownership in the capital. The scheme, which went live on May 27, 2025, aims to provide 7,500 residential units at discounted prices across key zones such as Narela, Loknayakpuram, and Siraspur.
Apna Ghar Awaas Yojana 2025 follows the successful rollouts of Sabka Ghar Awaas Yojana 2025 and DDA Shramik Awaas Yojana 2025, both of which were launched earlier this year with encouraging responses. This new scheme offers residential units at 15–25% reduced rates, across various income groups—Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), and High Income Group (HIG) categories. Notably, LIG flats in Narela, Loknayakpuram, and Siraspur are available at 25% discount, while EWS, MIG, and HIG flats are being offered at 15% discount.
Under the scheme, registrations opened at 12 PM on May 27 and will continue until August 26, 2025, unless extended. Interested buyers can book flats directly through the DDA’s official website by submitting the required booking amounts: ₹50,000 for EWS, ₹1 lakh for LIG, ₹4 lakh for MIG, and ₹10 lakh for HIG flats. The scheme is operating on a first-come, first-served basis, welcoming all Indian citizens aged 18 or above.
At the official launch event, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, VK Saxena, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Housing for All.” Saxena stated, “In line with the Prime Minister’s vision, we are working on ensuring that everyone gets to be a homeowner. DDA has introduced many new features to reduce the hurdles in owning a house in Delhi.” He highlighted initiatives such as a single-window inquiry system, transparent documentation, and digitally enabled processes that have significantly enhanced public trust in the DDA.
The DDA has also introduced a specialised chatbot service as part of the scheme, aimed at enhancing citizen engagement and support. According to DDA officials, this AI-driven feature provides 24×7 assistance, improved transparency, and faster responses to queries related to housing availability, application status, and documentation.
The availability of flats under this scheme is well distributed across zones. In Narela, the largest inventory has been offered, with 694 EWS, 5,384 LIG, 386 MIG, and 226 HIG units up for sale. Siraspur features 564 LIG flats, while Loknayakpuram includes 150 LIG and 96 MIG flats.
DDA officials confirmed that recent buyer-friendly reforms have strengthened public confidence in the agency. These include improved buyer communications, integration of online support, faster allotment processes, and full digital delivery of property documentation. “After being in the red for over a decade, DDA made a surplus of ₹1,371 crore in the financial year 2024–25, primarily driven by the unprecedented sale of housing units across categories,” said a senior official.
He further emphasized that Narela’s transformation has been a major contributor to this success. “We have not only developed housing but have also invested in road infrastructure, connectivity, and essential services in Narela, making it a viable residential destination. These initiatives are ensuring that more and more people choose to settle here.”
As demand for affordable housing surges in India’s capital, DDA’s Apna Ghar Awaas Yojana 2025 stands out as a transformative step toward accessible, quality housing for all income groups—bringing the dream of homeownership closer to reality for thousands of citizens.
