Three major players in the logistics and infrastructure sector Adani Ports, Super Handlers, and Empezar Logistics are in contention to develop a cutting-edge logistics park in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This ambitious project is set to attract a substantial investment of ₹1,200 crore, signaling a major boost to the region’s industrial and economic landscape.
The proposed logistics park will encompass comprehensive cargo handling facilities, state-of-the-art warehousing units, and a skill development center aimed at equipping local youth with industry-relevant expertise. These facilities are designed to streamline the movement of goods and reduce logistic bottlenecks in the Delhi-NCR region, which is rapidly emerging as a major logistics and industrial hub.
Significantly, the project is expected to generate over 5,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, making it a vital initiative for job creation in the region. The establishment of the park will also enhance freight movement efficiency, reduce turnaround time, and cut transportation costs, thereby attracting more businesses to utilize the corridor for their supply chain operations.
This initiative is aligned with the Uttar Pradesh government’s multi-modal logistics park policy, which aims to establish the state as a key node in India’s national logistics ecosystem. The policy encourages public-private partnerships, private investments, and infrastructure upgrades to build integrated logistics zones that support trade and economic development.
The competition among Adani Ports, Super Handlers, and Empezar Logistics reflects the growing strategic importance of Greater Noida as a logistics gateway. The final selection of the project developer is likely to depend on the technical capabilities, financial strength, and the proposed operational model each bidder brings to the table. Once awarded, the project is expected to be a game-changer in transforming regional logistics infrastructure.
